This goes so far as to kill the Headspace version of Basil multiple times to prevent him from sharing the truth with Sunny, and erasing memories of Basil from the rest of Headspace. In the former, called the Sunny Route, Omori does everything possible to prevent Sunny from realizing the truth, that Sunny was the cause of Mari's death. Omori is an avatar of sorts for Sunny in Headspace, while still being a separate individual. Sunny eventually became homeschooled and never left his home at all up until three days before he was set to move to a new town, where the player can choose to explore Faraway Town with the real world Kel or stay locked up at home. Omori was the result of Sunny embracing his disbelief of the situation. This devastated all of Sunny's friends and possibly caused Sunny's father to leave the family. In a panic, he hung her body from a tree with help from Basil to stage it as a suicide. To be more specific, after an unknown disagreement that broke his violin, Sunny pushed his sister Mari down the stairs, accidentally killing her. In reality, Omori is an Alter-Ego of Sunny, created to protect him from the truth of his actions. He and the rest of his friends Kel, Aubrey, Hero and Mari, go on a quest to find him. After a certain incident happens, his best friend Basil disappears. However, he commonly enters a dream world of sorts, called Headspace, to play with his friends and go on adventures. He's lived in a place known as White Space for as long as he can remember. Omori is the main character of the RPGmaker game of the same name. ~ The story of the creation of both Headspace and Omori himself Traveling along blissfully, ignorant of his own fabrication. From that time on, the DREAMER has lived amongst us. Only then would the noise cease to agitate the DREAMER's sanity. To truly escape the perils of his own faculty and ascend to a blissful state of ignorance. or the absence of it, would become the DREAMER's greatest gift. The DREAMER's own power was his greatest adversary. What the DREAMER had created was something he could not be a part of, something outside himself. The DREAMER could run and bury away his fears, but one still has to face his own reflection. The noise might have subsided, but it never went away. Even with new allies, the darkness continued to scrape and scratch at the back of the DREAMER's mind. Yet despite his valiant efforts, the darkness's presence never abated. Then he compounded his worlds above the dark realm. Powerless to silence the noise, the DREAMER manifested benevolent entities in his different worlds. Quiet as they may have been, words of malice quietly crept into his mind. The DREAMER slowly became filled with dread. one painted with chaos and bathed in darkness. the DREAMER's curiosity and clumsy exploration eventually led him to a certain world. Walking the path as a visitor to these worlds, the DREAMER would come and go as he pleased. The DREAMER grew weary of his room and created a door that led to many different worlds. In the beginning, there only existed two. a story about the creation of this reality. I will tell you a story that has been lost through time.

Summer days see a gentle tug of war between warmer inland air and the cool air coming in from the San Pablo Bay, creating an ideal environment to grow red varieties. The climate is generally warm and agreeable, resulting in year after year of favorable vintages. This AVA is home to the legendary To Kalon Vineyard and Martha's Vineyard, as well as many powerhouse wineries including Screaming Eagle, Silver Oak, Robert Mondavi, Opus One, Far Niente and Groth. Home to some of the most sought-after Cabernet Sauvignon in America, Napa Valley’s Oakville district stretches across the center of Napa's valley floor and foothills between the Vaca and Mayacamas Mountains. Two parcels, totaling 100 acres, are within the renowned To Kalon Vineyard. These are complemented by the combined 70 acres of the Ballestra and River parcels, which envelop the winery. In the vineyards, hand-harvesting and other traditional approaches are taken wherever they work best. When modern techniques benefit the winegrowing process, they are researched, evaluated and integrated into practice The estate vineyards of Opus One, comprised of four parcels, sit in the western portion of the famed Oakville AVA in Napa Valley. It remains an ongoing testament to the founders’ vision of a singular wine that transcends generations. Rising gracefully from the vineyards, Opus One winery stands in subtle celebration of the land and the open space that surrounds the estate. Guided by the vision of our founders, winemaker Michael Silacci combines intuition and technical acumen with the dual perspective of viticulturist and winemaker. From tasting berries to careful sorting and extended aging in new French oak barrels, each stage of the winemaking process is afforded the same meticulous consideration and attention. After 18 months, the Opus One wine is bottled and held an additional 15 months until release on October 1st each year. Place, often defined as terroir, represents the geography, the climate and the essential human element which is captured in the wine’s balance between power and finesse, structure and texture. The essence of time is expressed in Opus One wine by the character of each vintage. The facial profile of the two founders is visible on their iconic label. Producing luxury wines from its Napa Valley vineyards, the partnership made its first vintage in 1979 and has made wine at Opus One since 1991. The semi-improvised humor of those two brings European clowning into this century, drives the show's energy, and is the cohesion between death-defying acts (makes transitions non-existent so the show run at an absolutely non-stop, breakneck pace). This is an amazing, truly unique show, extremely well-produced and directed, with unbelievably talented acrobatics and top notch actors/comedians in the main roles of smarmy carnival ringleader and his lower-status, dim-witted right hand woman. The sunset is also beautiful – but, of course, it is also a very popular time. I would say that early morning can be a good time to cross from Manhattan towards Brooklyn the bridge is usually emptier – and in summer, the earlier, the more pleasant. Generally, the best time will depend on which way you will cross. Can you get it empty? Yes, that’s possible. After exploring the spots on the Brooklyn side, you can head to the bridge entrance, right under it, on Prospect St.īeing one of the most famous spots in the city, there is no way around it: there are always people on the bridge. From Brooklyn Heights Promenade, you will get to Brooklyn Bridge Park through Squib Bridge Park (I will talk more about it throughout the post). The last two options require less walking to get to Brooklyn Heights Promenade – when you arrive at the station, just put it on Google Maps and follow the path. There are three options: you can take the A or C lines to High Street station, or the N, R or W lines and get off at Court Street, or the 2 or 3 lines and get off at Clark Street. From Brooklyn towards Manhattan – if you start in Brooklyn, I suggest that your trip starts from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, an elevated boardwalk located in the Brooklyn Heights area, next to Brooklyn Bridge Park, that offers an incredible view of the city. When crossing the bridge, be sure to look in all directions: you will see the East River, Brooklyn, the Manhattan Bridge, One World Trade Center, the Empire State, and even the Statue of Liberty. If you want to cross the bridge by bike, there are CitiBike stops at the bridge’s exit and on the other side. When you start to cross it, you will find many street vendors selling souvenirs such as key chains and fridge magnets. Don’t forget a bottle of water! Also, take the opportunity to observe the region full of beautiful buildings. From Manhattan towards Brooklyn – to get to the bridge access, use lines 4, 5, 6, J or Z and get off at Brooklyn Bridge City Hall station. For example, it’s really beautiful to cross the bridge at sunset – but, if you do that, I suggest starting your trip in Brooklyn hours before and ending with the crossing, you know? Anyway, whatever you choose, have no doubt that it will be amazing. Just plan accordingly because while exploring what’s on the Brooklyn side is so worth it, it takes time. You can cross the bridge from Manhattan towards Brooklyn or from Brooklyn towards Manhattan. And so, on May 17, 1884, crowds eagerly looked on as Barnum paraded 21 elephants across the length of the Brooklyn Bridge – proving that the structure was strong and safe. Barnum, to help demonstrate the bridge’s strength. In an effort to convince people that the bridge was, in fact, safe, city officials reached out to the famous circus showman P. 12 people were dead, with seven others seriously injured. This fear got worse when a woman tripped and fell on the bridge, and right after that, another woman screamed, causing the crowd in the area to panic and push their way off the bridge. When it was finished, the bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world, and because of that, many native New Yorkers were not sure about it… they couldn’t believe that the bridge would sustain the weight of the commuters expected to use it. Today, on average, 120,000 vehicles cross Brooklyn Bridge daily, and 4,000 pedestrians and 2,600 cyclists. For 20 years after the opening of the Brooklyn Bridge, there was a toll for pedestrians and for cars. It was open to the public in 1883 – 13 years after the construction had started. So, here are my ultimate guide about Brooklyn Bridge and things to do in the area! Brooklyn Bridgeīrooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges around the world – and the first built to connect Manhattan to Brooklyn, almost 1.24 miles long. I’ve crossed the bridge several times, and I love exploring the Brooklyn side. After living here for more than 9 years, I never get tired of these spots, and I think they are among the most beautiful places in the city. We all know that Brooklyn Bridge is a classic in NYC – and there is so much to see on the other side of the bridge! Brooklyn Bridge Park and Dumbo are charming areas, with stunning views. These are also known to help reduce noise so can be a good option for those who live by a busy walkway or road. It provides some thermal qualities and will slightly darken a room. It is a midway between standard and thermal lining. Blockout Lining is similar to thermal lining. These are a great option for public rooms that need help with temperature control. It will block some light compared to standard lining but will not darken the room. Thermal Lining has a tighter weave or a coating compared to standard lining which can keep a room warmer in winter or cooler in summer when closed.Standard Lining is made of plain cotton or polycotton and will let light into a room whilst giving weight to the curtains to make them sit nicely. We offer a huge selection of ready made curtains and we want to make sure you understand which lining you are choosing. We are a family run business so we pick and pack all your orders by hand up to 6 days a week with pickups from our couriers most days. All you need to do is select the size you need and add them to your basket.įor example, if your window measures 150cm wide and 147cm drop and you would like your curtains to sit off the floor, you would order a pair of curtains sized 66” x 72”. Once you have decided on your design and measured your width and drop you are ready to order your curtains. If you would prefer them to hang right to the floor then you would order a longer drop 90” or 108” drop depending on your ceiling height. Most curtain designs come in standard drop sizes of 54”, 72”, 90” and 108” so you may have to round up to the nearest size.įor example, if you measure your drop and it is 147cm (58”) in length and you wanted your curtains to sit off the floor you would round this up to the 72” drop curtains. This can be to your window sill, half the way down your wall or to the floor. This should be the length from the top of your window pole or track to where you would like the bottom of your curtains to sit. Remember to include gather when you are choosing your curtain width as most people prefer at least double gather for their curtains rather than the curtains pulled tight straight across.įor example, if you measure your window and it is 150cm (59”) wide you be looking for curtains with a minimum width of 66” so you can get a nice full gather. You should measure along your pole or track where the curtains will be hung and not just your window. All our curtain descriptions have the measurements in both inches and centimetres so it does not matter which you measure them in. Use Anytune to learn to play, transcribe and practice songs by slowing down the tempo, adjusting the pitch, repeating loops, setting marks, and sharing comments using your favorite tracks Check out ReFrame - Audio Isolation. In general, most applications out there (desktop or mobile) will do everything you need with a great sound quality and ease-of-use, especially if your music collection is more traditional with your own non-DRM'd songs available digitally. Slow down music, choose the perfect pitch, and learn to play by ear ANYTUNE is the ultimate music practice app for singers, dancers and musicians of all kinds. If there's something more difficult I need to transcribe, I usually remove the DRM somehow and open it in a more advanced application. ( standard transcription techniques, but nothing advanced) and it can do it on DRM'd music since it's really just utilizing iTunes' advanced features. Heck, even Windows Media Player offers half-speed playback But Transcribe puts all the features you need for transcribing in one place. Du erhltst vollen Zugriff auf tolle Features wie Tempo- und Tonhhen-Einstellung, Text-Anzeige, Integration der iTunes Bibliothek und sogar Audiobus Untersttzung. There's a standalone app that does all the speed/pitch loop changes you normally see in transcription applications however it also has a version called iLift:Play that utilizes iOS's built-in music app to slow down up to 80%, loop, etc. Die GRATIS Version von Anytune ist kostenlos mit einer hchst intuitiven Benutzeroberfche und bietet jede Menge ntzlicher Funktionen. It's called iLift and there's two versions of it. It worked well when I had DRM-free music on my phone or tablet, but since Apple Music came, and I drank the kool-aid I've found many apps don't want to play the DRM'd streamed music anymore.Įxcept one I've found. But in all honesty I only used the Lite version (free). Nice keyboard overlay for those tricky overtones or chords where you can't get it quite right.Īt first it was AudioStretch on iOS. Plain and simple, took an audio file, and modified the playback. Great interface, probably the best "sound" when slowing down and had great controls. It might not be easy and you may need to compromise. Now move and resize the window by dragging the handles until you can only hear the voice you want to remove. You will only hear the sounds within the cropping window. Plug in and play along with the band using LiveMix, isolate or mute an instrument or vocals with ReFrame, shape the sound. It was powerful and only ran on the desktop, but was available on Windows, OS X and Linux. This is a typical location frequency range for vocals. Anytune is a music player with additional features to learn, transcribe, practice and even perform songs by slowing down the tempo, adjusting the pitch, repeating loops, setting navigation marks and sharing timed comments. My situation may be unique, but valid - for those using iOS/OS X devices primarily and who usually listen to DRM'd/streamed music. How to play Anytune - Music Speed Changer with GameLoop on PC 1 Download GameLoop from the official website, then run the exe file to install GameLoop Enjoy playing Anytune - Music Speed Changer on GameLoop Minimum requirements OS Windows 8. Still, just like the stated length of most tenkara rods, don’t expect the measurements to be totally accurate–a 100mm is not exactly 100mm and a 120mm is not exactly 120mm. The latter seems to be more common, so that is measurement I use. And to make it even more confusing, some sellers refer to the blade length, while others measure the length of the closed size (including the little flipper). Since it’s 100% hand made, the length can vary due to anomalies in both materials and the construction process. I think most tenkara anglers have an eye for design and would instantly recognize that this seemingly mundane little flipper is actually a very clever multi-purpose feature.Ī word on the sizing … this is where it gets somewhat tricky. I intended to use it to open tins of pipe tobacco (I often smoke a pipe while I’m tying), but soon discovered it comes in handy a lot more than I thought: removing staples, opening keychain split-rings, lifting stubborn can tabs, scraping off labels, or any myriad of tasks around my desk that could benefit from prying. I don’t know if this was intended or not, but I also use the little flipper as a mini pry bar. Here’s my entire collection at the moment: I even own a limited edition one in Jade that’s almost too beautiful to use! Some of the 75mm versions come with a little faux leather case so you can attach it to your keychain. Here’s a side-by-side of the 75mm and 100mm: I also like the brass handled version because along with its carbon steel, it develops a gorgeous patina that compliments my other brass EDC gear well. And if you need to do a small cutting task within the company of polite society, it’s much less intimidating to pull out a 75mm Higonokami than a 4″ Spyderco. Aside from coming in handy when out and about, it’s great conversation starter if you learn a little of the history behind it. I own several in brass, stainless steel, and black, but tend to favor the 100mm brass because I feel it’s the most versatile size.īut I do carry the 75mm in my leather EDC pocket organizer/wallet along with a mini flashlight, pen, and cards. The most popular is the 100mm, but they also make it in 75mm and 120mm. Here’s a video showing the construction process: See more about the higonokami blade here. It’s available in a few different steels but I prefer what they call “blue paper”, which is a high-carbon steel that is extraordinarily sharp, yet still very easy to sharpen. This creates a slimmer blade profile which makes the Higonokami a slicing tour de force. In other words, the edge is not bevelled–it tapers straight from the spine to the edge. The blade is a “warikomi” sandwich of steel and iron which we in the West would commonly refer to as a “Scandi grind”. I haven’t tried it nor have felt the need to yet. Since there is no locking mechanism, when holding the knife, you press down on it with your thumb against the top of the handle to keep the blade from accidentally closing.Īs you’ll notice, it’s a riveted design, meaning there is no adjustment on the the opening or closing inertia of the blade though I suspect you could tighten it up by squeezing the folded steel together. Like tenkara, the lack of mechanical embellishments forces you to slow down and be more mindful when opening and closing it.Īside from aiding in opening the knife, the “flipper” tab has two other benefits. This is decidedly a two-handed open/close. It’s opened by a little iron flipper at the end but it’s not what we would call a “flipper knife”–the kind that opens with one hand at lightning-fast speed like a switchblade. You might say that the Higonokami is to Japan what the Opinel is to France. Ask any Japanese person about the Higonokami and chances are, they own one, have owned one, or are at least aware of it by name. The latter might seem a little odd, yet it’s nonetheless just as utilitarian (and certainly more storied).Įssentially, it’s a simple, yet very clever little utility pocket knife from Japan. The former would certainly make sense at a tying desk. If you visit my tying desk, you’ll notice two gadgets that have taken up permanent residence on the base of my vise: my scissors, and a Higonokami knife. |
